We have been making plastic neck collars for marking migratory waterfowl for over 20 years. We engrave codes and then form pieces into collars, using hot water. Hot water forming stresses the plastics less than heating in an oven. More consistent, lower temperatures are less likely to stress the plastic, hopefully yielding collars that last longer.
We can form collars for larger birds, from lesser races of canada geese, giant canadas, swans, and even the occasional emu.
We make collars for studies as well as for fundraising for conservation and hunting groups. Please call for a quote or email chris@spinnerplastics.com.
